Data Security for Authors
I’m investigating programs intended for data security.
Maybe I’ll rate them, too. Something like:
1. For Everybody
2. For Everybody who has a geeky 15-year-old in the house to help them figure it out, or those who also have a technical writing job
3. Only safe for Cory Doctorow or Michael Stackpole, but Carolyn Nicita’s going to give it a try anyway.
Here’s the list so far:
KeePass (1)
WireShark (3)
Linux (1 or 2, depending on the flavor)
NetStumbler (3)
StegDetect (2 or 3, depending on how you use it)
TrueCrypt (1)
Avast Antivirus (1)
SequoiaView (1)
Flashbake and Git (2?)
