Linux Mint is working fine
During my trip out of state, which ends today, Windows 7 secided that I no longer owned the copy of it that came OEM on my Dell laptop. Yes, I tend to poke around in the guts of the OS, but some virus was systematically corrupting every program on the computer.
When it corrupted Apophysis, and corrupted every re-install, of course it went over the line into intolerable.
So I wiped the entire drive, including he verboten re-imaging partition, and then installed Linux Mint.
Apophysis, and everyhing else I need, works quite well, either with WINE, Mono, HPsip, or right out of the box.
Thumbs up and kudos to the Linux Mint crew.
We now return you to our regularly-scheduled career.

Random Orycon notes and reminders
To journal when I have access to a full-size keyboard:
Met some of my Facebook associates yesterday.
“Odin” and. “Norwegian Wood” seem to be well-received at the art show.
I now have enough sleep to function.
Brygid and crew at the Orycon art show are awesome. The quality of art is quite high.
What does Jay Lake mean. “failed chemo so going to Orycon?” That’s disconcerting.
